Equipment

EQUIPMENT

1. All competitors may bring their own equipment.
2. Charter boards may also be available – full details will be published on the class / event websites. Update 30/08/06– To charter a Kona Board, contact Exocet for booking and further information; tor@exocet- original.com before 1st November 2006. The charter fee is 100 Euro.

EQUIPMENT INSPECTION

1. It is the responsibility of each competitor to ensure that his/her board and equipment conforms to the Class Rules.
2. Equipment inspectors will pay special attention to sail identification rule compliance.
3. Equipment checks may be made throughout the event .

SAIL INSIGNIAS

National letters & sail numbers shall be in a colour that contrasts strongly with the body of the sail; placed immediately above the event advertising; and positioned according to RRS App. G. Alternatively sail insignias may be placed back to back on a white background. All sails shall otherwise comply with the national letter system according to the RRS 77 and App. G.

BUOYANCY

If personal buoyancy is prescribed, each competitor & support boat crewmember shall wear, above the waist, A jacket, harness, or vest with a minimum buoyancy of 4kg uninflated, in fresh water. The buoyancy shall be tested with a ferrous metal weight of 4kg., which shall remain supported for a minimum of 5 minutes.
